dtsmamtj Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I have a son who is 14 with CAPD/LD and spectrum issues. He doesn't enjoy reading much but will do it. Beyond basic comp questions about what he read he is lost - so, no IEW type work. Writing a paragraph is tough but doable if the topic is something he is somewhat familiar with. Any suggestions? He is currently reading the Golden Goblet as part of ancient history/literature. Is this a "hill" I need to really make an issue of - some sort of literature type analysis? If some sort of recap, analysis or along those lines isn't "completely necessary" what would be something less but yet acceptable? Thank you. I posted this on the special ed section also.
