stephanie
I have a whirlpool garden tub that is used daily by me and my kids. I clean it daily, but still have trouble with soap scum buildup. What's a good at home remedy to clean it? I don't feel like having to go to the store to buy anything so I want to use something that I may have in the cabinet! thanks

KS_
Mr. Clean sponge thing? I use the Mr Clean sponge for our tubs/showers and think it works very well :) Otherwise, you might try baking soda on a damp sponge - I've used that before, too. Jen500
I use baking soda and a damp rag. And some elbow grease.
In The Great White North
The Works toilet cleaner with lime remover (takes everything off porcelin and fiberglass). You might want to test a small area first. DO NOT let it touch the faucet - it will discolor it.
MyThreeSons
The Magic Eraser sponges have worked wonders around here. They even removed soap scum buildup that appeared to be years old when we moved in, and that I couldn't get off with anything else for a long time after we moved in. percytruffle
If you haven't already, switch from bar soap to liquid. It leaves less residue.
Slartibartfast
Baking soda should work well. If it isn't working try vinegar. I wouldn't advise switching from bar soap to liquid. If one is using real all natural soap there is more soap scum because it contains glycerin. Glycerin is *good* for your skin.
Chris in VA
Just don't use Brillo like my well-meaning hubby did the other day--:tongue_smilie:
