Middle ground with dd :-)

I found a middle ground with dd.

 

I give her a handful of school choices, like go to the science shelf and choose something. Trace a world map, but choose which continent to research. Math needs to be done, where would you like to sit? Things like this.

 

She has done more school work in just this morning than she has in any other given week!

 

Now off to figure out ds. I'm thinking of doing a horrible histories month, or history of weapons.

 

He'll do his math, some handwriting, listen to stories, but he's hard to work with.
