lexi
I wanted to get some C rods for my kids but I didn't know where to begin with using them. I know Miquon uses them but I'm so afraid that I'm not going to understand how to teach with Miquon. I'm just not mathy at all. Are there other books or supplements that walk you through how to use the C rods? Maybe even simple lesson plans or games or other ideas? I want to supplement with some type of "math lab" on Fridays and wanted to use C rods. But I need a list of ideas that is understandable and laid out for me! mystika1
Education Unboxed. I agree. Those videos have helped me become a better teacher. After watching most of the videos, I now know that I could have saved tons of money by just using c rods and math problems written on index cards for K-2 math instead of buying tons of math curriculum. The Way of My People
Education Unboxed. :iagree: We're using the Miquon books, but I really think the games/ideas on Education Unboxed are even more valuable. The card game on Education Unboxed (where they use the Cuisinaire Rods to make tens) is SO great for teaching addition, subtraction, and making tens effortlessly.
