La Texican
what is the digging stick called in the kids excavation kits? Also, we just went to the museum for the first time. It was not what I expected AT ALL. I thought it would be like Cabella's with stuffed figures setting up historical scenes from the caveman to the cowboy. I thought my kids would like it a little bit, but I thought I would have to tell them "don't touch that" the whole time and maybe leave a little bit early. There was stuff for them to touch in every single room- flaps to lift, buttons to push, pelts to feel, logs to stack.. And we made it all the way through and at the end was a three story children's exploration station. There was more stuff for them to do at the regular museum than there is at the children's museum. It exceeded my highest expectations. But, yeah, what's the little stick pin called in the excavation toy? My son's calling it a "needle", but I said "no. You're not sewing with it." La Texican
Oopsie daisy.. He's just finished the project and, as it turns out, the "digging stick" was actually the civil war soldier's flag pole. I suppose only the chisel and brush were the actual digger.
