Sharon
Hello, Wondering if anyone can recommend a good magazine(s) for their 13 yo and up that their child enjoys and you feel is well worth the time and money. Thanks for your time, Sharon

ladykayaker
My two boys devour popular mechanics and popular science. Grandpa recommended new scientist and has just ordered this subscription for all my kids - he says the girls will also enjoy it as the articles are short - the first has not yet arrived - so I can't give comment yet I read the Economist - ds14 reads an article here and there out of it - mainly the science or tech articles. This week we were giggling as he read the 'tributary' - turns out it was an obit - despite our teasing he did a great job and telling us what the man had achieved! regentrude
The Economist. We do get the Economist, too, and love it, but both kids are reading selected articles at most. I find the writing very dense and do not think that most 13 year olds would be capable of, or interested in, reading it in its entirety. Storm Bay
If they like science, Chem Matters is a good one that hasn't already been mentioned. I think we heard about that from Jane in NC (not 100 percent sure, just 99 percent).
Sharon
Thanks for all the great responses. For chem matters, is this an online mag specifically?
funathome
My two boys devour popular mechanics and popular science. My son absolutely LOVES Popular Science!:001_smile: He has been "devouring it" since he was 12 yr old and is almost 16. When an issue comes in he latches on it it and will read the articles and then tell me about them. This is great as he is a "non reader"! :D Amy:001_smile:
Storm Bay
Thanks for all the great responses. For chem matters, is this an online mag specifically? We had a subscription for a couple of years & it came in the mail.
