HollyDay
I am tired and overwhelmed at the moment. I know the 2 go hand in hand, the more tired, the more overwhelmed. I could use some ideas for creating margin and reducing the impact of stress. Dh wants me to stop the diet I started because I've been so tired since starting it. That might be a coincidence but I doubt it. So, how do I get my energy back and let me manage the stress, not the other way around?
regentrude
SLEEP. Make a proper amount of sleep your absolute top priority (right after feeding your kids and keeping them safe). If that means you must go to bed at 9pm, go. Housework can wait. Everything will get done more effectively if you are rested. next, make sure to get some outdoor exercise, preferably mid-day, every day. Exercise plus sunlight will give you more energy. Nature
I agree! Without sleep, functioning is difficult. I don’t know what kind of a diet you are on, but nutrition is also a very important aspect to having enough energy. It's hard to think about exercising when you're tired, but it will do wonders for relieving stress while giving you more energy.

It's hard to think about exercising when you're tired, but it will do wonders for relieving stress while giving you more energy. I started off on an 1800 cal ADA diet, but it was low in protein. So, I switched over to South Beach for more protein, but Phase 1 is really carb restricted. I thought I could get enough carbs through veggies, but I don't think so. I've also given up coffee, but that withdrawal should be done by now. I'm drinking green tea a couple time a week. I switched from sugar or honey to stevia.
