Jane Elliot
...did they read all of it or just selections? We're on the WTM medieval list this year, but I decided to begin and end the year with Shakespeare. So, we've just finished Macbeth, and now I'm looking at the first few titles on the medieval list. With my older dc we skipped Confessions and moved on to City of God or Bede, so I'm not sure what to do with Confessions. What do you recommend? All of it? Selections (if so, which ones)? Or skip it? MicheleinMN
My eldest son and eldest daughter read all of Confessions, but we skipped City of God. :tongue_smilie:
Bluegoat
My kids haven't read it, but I have. I'd have a go at the whole thing, it is pretty readable as far as literature from that period goes. Much easier than City of God in any case. You can always change plans if it doesn't go over well. We are just finishing up Confessions now.
Faithr
We read Confessions and skipped City of God too. I still haven't read City of God. I'm intimidated. I have read Confessions twice now though. Much easier read!
