plain jane
Please help me!! I need some fun, engaging ocean themed ideas to keep kids in the K-2 crowd interested and busy with minimal parent involvement. :tongue_smilie: I will be present but need to give my attention to older children so I need a craft/workbook/some sort of activity that I can start the little guys on and then leave them to their own devices for a bit. I'm really low on the creativity right now.
alisoncooks
Sensory box? Blue rice + little fish & stuff to play with? (My 6yo still digs that sort of stuff!)

Arcadia
My boys enjoyed these crafts/activities from Monterey Bay Aquarium. Also the Sea Searchers Handbook by the aquarium.

3peasinapod
How about a lapbook? Dynamic 2 Moms has a free coral reef lapbook. I don't make lapbooks, but I still use the lapbook foldables for our science or history notebook. Homeschool Creations has some ocean printables, mostly for K, but some may be able to be used with 1st and 2nd. If you look at the end of this page, there are links to other ocean type things.
