Dh says "Yeah heroin and a chicken bone". (I am so sure!) Who died choking on a chicken bone if it wasn't JJ? (Pretty sure it was a female singer). Important stuff here... This turned out to be one of those urban myths. She died of a heart-related problem - natural causes. I think one of the guys from Led Zeppelin did die by excess drinking and choking in his sleep on his own vomit. Jimmy Hendrix is said to have died this way, but I am not sure if it is true or not.
