momma2three
:001_huh: How did the human race continue with people walking around looking like that? What kind of women would want to be with men dressed like that?? Now that you mention it, the 70s was a low point in the birth rate...
Stacia
I can't stop looking at this link. It is like fine literature - something new every time. I'm just trying not to wake up the family laughing at this point. :iagree: :smilielol5:

SailorMom
:lol::lol: I am so glad that I am young enough that the 70's are fuzzy in my memory.

stripe
Did that ad actually sell any socks???? Who knows, I'd think it'd inspire more sales of belted sweaters, but maybe it was the inspiration behind that Red Hot Chili Peppers cover... Jeannie in NJ
the only other thing the guys are wearing other than socks are sunglasses. Were they trying to disguise themselves? The one and only time I ever went to a disco, a guy came up to me and said "Want to ____?" and he was not asking me to dance lol.
fairfarmhand
To continue a theme; for your late-night viewing pleasure: Sears 1973 catalog. I had the long dress on page 8...the one in the middle. I LOVED that dress from the ages of 4-6 and wore it until it fell apart. There is a weird break, but the rest of the catalog continues here: http://lileks.com/institute/sears1973/14.html My brother and I had the Joyce Miller original bedding...the one on the top...from 1974 until 1979. oh my word. I was hooting at the comments on these. Then I went to the original site and looked at the other pics offered.:lol::lol:
KatieJ
Um, yeah. Like do some big-time tripping & face plants because of the giant pants legs. ... I just remembered, I have a scar on my forehead. Tripped and fell on my bell bottom jeans. Needed 5 stitches!

I love his commentary! And those couches in the second link? My grandparents still have them. I was literally laughing out loud at the commentary on that one.
