BookMama Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Hmmm. When I married (me 20, hubby 29) we never mentioned our ages and no one asked. The B&B even gave us a celebratory bottle of wine, which was delicious. :cheers2: The main thing: CONGRATULATIONS in advance. Quote
staceyobu Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Someone over 21 is checking in. So, you're fine. Have fun and don't worry about it. Seriously. You have enough to be concerned about with getting married. Cross this off the list of things to worry about! Quote
LostSurprise Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Hotels do this because it cuts down on the number of drunken under-age prom parties they have to clean up after (or call the police for). Don't feel guilty. All they're looking for is some reassurance that they won't have to spend 24 hours cleaning the beer out of the light fixtures or deal with the police arresting underage drinkers. Having someone over 21 with a credit card evens the odds for them. Newlyweds are just fine. ;) Edited September 22, 2012 by LostSurprise Quote
VeritasMama Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I worked at a hotel as a front desk clerk in college. This is not immoral, do not worry about it. People often rent rooms for other people for othe reasons, such as paying for the room as a treat or renting a room for an out of town guest. You aren't breaking any rules. Just enjoy your special day! Quote
