Farmgirl70
We enjoyed "George Washington's World" by Genevieve Foster. Also, Michael Clay Thompson's "Jefferson's Truths" was wonderful for the Declaration of Independence.
Sebastian (a lady)
what are some "must reads" for US Revolutionary War? 1776 in the illustrated edition was a huge hit at our house. Combined good history with reproduction primary documents. We also read Jeff Shaara's book about the origins of the war. I think that is Rise to Rebellion. Guns for General Washington is a favorite and they re-read that.
