Colleen Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Thanks for sharing that link. It's appalling, how long the FDA has insisted dental amalgam is safe. Back in the early '90s, when I worked in environmental litigation for Travelers Insurance, there was already a great deal of evidence to the contrary ~ and a great deal of pending claims. Quote
jacqui in mo Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Hmm, I'm not exactly thrilled by what they say about the other types of fillings: "And some have released another toxic material, the gender-bending chemical bisphenol A." Quote
Janna Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I can't help but think that this is no different than the mercury in vaccinations. The FDA insists vaccines are safe - including thimerosal- but come on. Is it not common sense? This is infuriating if I ponder it too long... Quote
HollyinNNV Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Just wait until mercury in the new "environmental" light bulbs starts showing up in our water supply. Holly Quote
Julpost Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 My sister and I were just talking about this very topic the other night. She has concerns about the composite material used in fillings these days. A few years ago, she worked for a dentist and asked her about the plastic material in composites. The dentist said it was nothing to worry about, that plastic is absolutely safe and not at all toxic. mcconnellboys Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I don't know, LOL, they've still got the word "may" in there, so they may backtrack yet. Wonder how long it will be before they'll give up and admit that injecting it in vaccines might be even more dangerous than allowing it in fillings....? Quote
