I associate the word saucer with UFOs, but I'm pretty sure that's not what they are talking about lol. It really doesn't sound like a common household item. Erica in OR Posted September 18, 2012 Share Posted September 18, 2012 Not familiar with what you're working with, but I would imagine a saucer, like you would put a teacup on, or a small plate. Is there some sort of experiment that you might light a candle on a saucer with a little bit of water in the bottom and then cover it with a jar and discuss the air inside and what would happen?
