Mom2legomaniacs
As part of PariSarah's 100 species challenge, I am wanting to do some studies with the kids. When I was in middle school, I remember doing a leaf unit study. I collected, identified, classified, etc. I am looking for a site that might have a list of those things used to classify plants and trees. I remember discussing the kind of leafs (lobed, pinnate, etc.), coniferous, deciduous, and much more. I have been googling without great luck. Anyone have a link to a great site that has plans for studies like this with classification check lists? Thanks!
Targhee
Will this work? http://www.cas.psu.edu/docs/CASDEPT/Hort/LeafID/Default.html It isn't a key, in that it doesn't take you through IDing a particular leaf, but it goes over the aspects of leaves used for ID with terms and examples.
