Fourmother
How does the activity Book differ from the workbook? The sample pages I've seen on the Singapore website just look like more workbook exercises. Is the activity book integral to the program, or does it just provide extra practice? Would I need the Actvity Book Teacher's guides if I were going to use this with 3rd and 6th grades?

The way I did it was to read the chapter, do the activities and then the workbook as kind of a review-and-critical-thinking exercise. I wouldn't skip it myself. I did skip the teachers' guides for all of it -- there was an answer key included with the workbook and I didn't need any more than that. Fourmother
Erica, thank you for your response. It's good to know that the teacher's manuals aren't necessary.
Closeacademy
My dd loves the activity guides the best. The text is excellent and the workbooks are great but the AG is her favorite part. :)
