Halcyon
What did we do wrong? Used different salt solutions, as per CPO Investigations unit, but nothing has happened. It's Day 4. Thoughts?
QuirkyKidAcademy
Our "sea monkeys" took 10 days to hatch. We just found three tiny ones day before yesterday.
BibleBeltCatholicMom
What did we do wrong? Used different salt solutions, as per CPO Investigations unit, but nothing has happened. It's Day 4. Thoughts? That's what we thought. We were about to throw them away a couple of weeks later and discovered them all over the habitat. 4 days is too early to give up. Woodland Mist Academy
What did we do wrong? Used different salt solutions, as per CPO Investigations unit, but nothing has happened. It's Day 4. Thoughts? Hmm....we had lots after 2 days. It depends on how much time you want to spend on it, but you could always keep those and start another batch too. You might have a bad batch of eggs, or there could be something else affecting them, or it could just be taking a bit longer. blakereese
Hang in there. Sometimes they take longer. The first time we did this, the kids were so excited the first few days and nothing happened. We left them on the counter and the kids sort of forgot about them. I kept checking and probably a week later we had tons. :)

Embassy
I grow some brine shrimp for our fish to eat. I mix some salt with conditioned water (water appropriate for a fish tank) toss in some eggs and aerate. I don't have good results unless I aerate. I use an air pump with tubing. It takes about 24 hours from the time I add the eggs until I have swimmers. I typically feed them to my fish at that point and I feed the remaining brine shrimp a little brewer's yeast.
