Cool (free!) translation app

Recommended Posts

I was looking for an app that could read Chinese characters so I could help the kids with their homework. After some research I came across one called worldictionary. There is a lite version that is free. It is really neat! You choose which language you want it to read and translate into, then point the camera of your ipod/iphone/ipad at the writing. We tried it with Chinese characters and it was able to tell us the English translation. It also had an audio symbol you could touch to hear it spoken aloud.

Just wanted to share! It has a lot of languages, so if you are studying another language it may come in handy!
