mommyto4QT
My husband recently accepted a job transfer to the St Louis area. We will move mid November. Anyone here from Missouri? If so, could you tell me about any regulations that you know about? What about homeschool co-ops in the St Louis area? This is our first year homeschooling and it has been going well. I am a bit hesitant to move states during our "school year". Thanks!
regentrude
I am in MO. The regulations are very easy: school 1,000 hours per year, 600 in the core subjects. No evaluations, no filing, You need to keep a log of hours, a portfolio of child's work, progress evaluations to show in case you are investigated (never happened to me, but I know some people who were). http://www.dese.mo.gov/schoollaw/HomeSch/homeschool.htm That is all. Can't get simpler than that. I do not know anything about St Louis area resources. Edited September 17, 2012 by regentrude

Chelle in MO
I'm in the St. Louis Metro area. MO is an easy state in which to homeschool--legally speaking, and this area has a large, active homeschooling community. PM me if you want to chat!
