jlmom
Can I can tomatoes in jelly jars? I bought a pack of Ball jelly jars thinking they were the same as the pint or quart canning jars and now I'm wondering whether or not I can use them. I've never done jelly so I have no idea what that involves, but will these hold up if I use them for something other than jelly?
Jennifer3141
They'll be fine! Tiny, but fine! :)
Truscifi
They'll be fine! Tiny, but fine! :) :iagree: They are just as sturdy as the bigger jars, but you won't have a lot in each jar.

jlmom
Thanks! They worked perfectly! I like the smaller size because I'm canning diced tomatoes and for most recipes I would only use 8 oz. The pints would be too large unless I was making a double portion of something.
