arcara
My dd, age 12, wants to learn to draw realistically and doesn't like Draw Squad's cartoonish style, which is the book I got for her for this year. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hunter
This is the only Mark Kistler book I like. You Can Draw in 30 Days. It works well with the Drawing Textbook. I have yet to have a student like Mark Kistler either. Both adults and children are repelled. I have a 3 year subscription and have only used it QUICKLY to show a basic technique, before the 30 Days book was published. I use Drawing Textbook as the main text, and supplement as needed with 30 Days. They are similar to Draw Squad, but not so silly.
