Janell
Does anyone do bulletin boards in their homeschool rooms? We have a large room in the basement that we use for homeschool and I have a wall that just needs something on it!! I'm thinking of doing a farm scene with different farm animals and a barn and tree with leaves that can come off for fall and bare for winter etc... my son is in Kindergarten so something simple. I was just wondering if anyone else did bulletin boards and what you do for yours. i'm looking for some good ideas! P.S. i'm not looking for calendar/weather suggestions as we already have a designated area for that. Thanks!
KristenR
Would a large magnetic board work? I use this oil drip pan in my kitchen for our AAS lessons but a friend recently took the idea and uses it as a make-shift bulletin board. AmyontheFarm
I have a 12 foot wall in our homeschool classroom that I use as a bulletin board area. But I use sticky tack. No staples or pins. So my background is always a love shade of cream, yuk! Friends always love my board, but the back ground colour does limit you some what. junebug
I have two bulletin boards in the schoolroom. I use one for the younger and the other for the olders. I did a search on the internet and found some ideas and pictures of one that someone had made from insulation board(big styrofoam sheets you can get at HomeDepot or Lowes) covered with material. I suggest if you do this that you get the one inch thick board and use heavy cotton material. Works great.
helena
We have two bulletin boards. The small one is for poetry study. I change it out monthly. It always includes poem and poet, pics in theme with the poem, and random doo-dads that just make their way to being tacked up there. :001_smile: The second board is usually for science, but since it's the first month of school I've posted classroom rules for a few weeks. I'm pretty excited as far as bulletin boards go (:D) because I scored on some old photos of butterflies and mushrooms. I'm planning a neat background for the science board. I love mine. It's a nice way to touch on subjects that might get lost in the shuffle of a busy school year.

*Lulu*
We have three bulletion boards in ur homeschool area. The first is a huge board where we put up things to what we are studying in history. It becomes a sort of scrapbook page of our studies over the course of the year. I have a smaller (3x5) board that we use for science in a more interactive way. Our smallest board is 18 inches by 24 inches and we use it for artist studies and memory work.
