I just got out of bed after tossing and turning for an hour! :glare: My mind is racing and I am going nuts!

Thank-you. That is all. If you need me I will be playing Freecell.

I'm sorry!!! Are you worried about something or just missing your hubby?

:grouphug:Elaine. I hate that. I wish minds came with off buttons sometimes. If it's any consolation, you're not the only one up late who can't sleep.

I've got a lot of things on my mind tonight too. Here, I'll share this with you. :chillpill:

Come on over here - I'm painting the porch ceiling (one of those things I thought would be great and is turning into a much bigger project.). You don't have to paint - I'll let you run and get snacks and we can chat.

Both. The stress of this situation is becoming increasingly difficult. The worst part is, everyday I get on the scale and I am losing weight. The stress of my life is, quite literally, eating me alive. It's not a good weight loss feeling you know?

Yeah, what's going on, Tootsie Wootsie?

Do you want to call me? If you do, tell me so that I stand next to the phone.

I would but I am afraid that if I say it out loud I will begin to cry. The ugly, can't speak coherently, snot pouring, breath sucking cry.

Our real estate agent is coming over tomorrow so that I can list the house. While this is what we have been planning, the reality of it is very sad. I dread telling my children that they have to leave the life that we have built here. I know that they will be devastated.

And I am pathetic. I bought them a Wii today to give to them for a Christmas present but I thought that I should give it to them as a relocation consolation prize.

I know that everything is going to be alright, it's all just really hard right now.

OK! It's only a 9 hour drive!

So, Elaine, where are you going to move to? BTW, I'm sorry for your kiddos and you as well.

It's hard to move.

We are moving back to NJ. My husband has been up there since June 5th. He got his old job back and it really is the best decision, financially and otherwise.

Thanks for the sympathy.:001_smile:

Ohhhhh. I really, really understand that kind of crying. I'd do the same thing. Even so, if you decide you want to talk just call my house phone.

I'll bet that your kids will be more relieved than you realize. They miss their dad, and he's more central to the life they've built than the place where you live.

The Wii is a pretty cool consolation gift! It'll help soften the blow, I'm sure.

The whole situation pretty much rots. I feel for you. I haven't experienced it but I can empathize with the feeling of loss. I want you to know that our family has been praying for your family all this time. And I'm going to be praying for you and the boys as you face tomorrow.

Get yourself some Ensure. It'll help you to at least maintain weight even if you don't gain back those few pounds.

I wish I knew how to make it better for you, Laney. :grouphug:

I'm sorry, sweetie. Selling our house in NC while hubby was still deployed was a tough, tough thing and we were ready to move. It's extra-hard when life isn't working out like you planned.

You have already helped, in so many ways!:001_smile: I know that this is just because I am alone and everything is on me now. When I was up there with you guys, I had this feeling of peace that everything would be alright.

Thanks for your support, anj, it means the world to me!

Will be praying that the house sells quickly and you find a fabulous place in NJ!

We are still in the decision process - at least you have already decided!

My dh grew up in Harding Township, NJ. Do you know where it is?

Btw, that really stinks with him being gone! I can't even handle the idea of my dh being gone.

Hang in there Laney!

I do know where that is, we are from NJ originally. :001_smile:

Thanks, Julie!

NJ? No, that's in the wrong direction! You need dh to get a job in Atl ;).

:grouphug: All will be good. Plus you will have ANJ!

:iagree:

I hope you were able to get some sleep after all :grouphug:

Oh Elaine. I didn't know you were going through all of this. Does your dh come back on the weekends? I'm so sorry!

I hope that things look better this morning after a short night's sleep.

Oh, Gosh... You poor things, all of you.

It will be ok, though. As upset as the boys will be, they would rather be with their dad, you know? How long after getting the house listed will you have to stay? Just long enough to pack up, or until it sells?:grouphug:

I lose weight when I am stressed too. You are right. It is not a good feeling.

I vote to give the kids the Wii. We are in love with the Wii. You can always get them a new game for Christmas.

However, this tendency to give it as soon as I get it is why I NEVER shop before late November. I just can't stand holding on to gifts.

I will pray that the house stuff will go smoothly and will sell quickly and that your boys will be favorable to the idea.

Nope, don't know anything about a non-good weight loss feeling!! ;)

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I will pray for you that something else will turn up.

I was able to fall asleep when I went to bed. Now I am a little tired though.;)

Thanks, Jennifer.:001_smile:

I haven't shared a lot about it, but now that it is really happening, I need some support. My husband has only been home once since he left in the beginning of June and I went up to visit him once. He will be home this weekend, thankfully, as my boys are dying to see thier dad.

Thanks for the encouragement.:001_smile:

We are going to go when this house sells. Right now my hubby is staying with some friends, who generously offered for him to stay there for free, and he can stay as long as he needs to. So the boys and I will stay here until the house is sold so that we don't get stuck carrying two mortgages or a mortgage and rent. We willmost likely rent in NJ as the housing prices are sky high.

We are planning on going up to see family in August and we would love to stop by VA and see you guys! I'll PM you with the details.
