BFamily
I used that code earlier and got the $210 dramatic audio set for free. I've been busy downloading the set to the computer all day. I listened to a few minutes of a couple of the downloads, and they sound great! These are not books simply being read aloud with emotion, but rather, fully dramatized with characters and background music/sounds. I can't wait to start listening to these in the evenings with my family, and I think I may reserve some of them to listen to in the car during the upcoming holiday season. ...................
Lamplighters seems overpriced to me nO matter what discount you get. They took free public domain books, updated some of the language and republished them in beautiful bindings with slick advertisement and marketing. I'm not saying they are not a good company and nice people. And I think it's cool that they found a niche for their business idea and made it work. (wonderful example of entrepreneurial thinking!) Just...not a good deal in my mind!
Rident_Mama
It's not their "slick" books that are free, it's the audio dramas that take months to create. I nabbed the deal last night. They sent me an email this morning, apologizing for the slow downloads due to overwhelming demand. Turns out, they gave the coupon code to 100 people at a conference and hadn't intended for it to go out on the Internet. They're still honoring it though. lil' maids in a row
I would love to try out this coupon code but when I tried it said that the coupon code required certain purchases. Anyone have further details about how it works?
Stef03
I would love to try out this coupon code but when I tried it said that the coupon code required certain purchases. Anyone have further details about how it works? They've probably removed the deal. I noticed on moneysavingmom: "Whoops! I just heard from a friend that Lamplighter told them that this coupon code was only intended to be used by their 100 webinar attendees last night. They have promised to honor all orders placed earlier today, but I’m guessing they’ll be removing this from their site shortly."
