woolybear
How is this book different from books like Family Math or Games for Math (I think that's the title)? I have Family Math and mostly they are not activities I want to be bothered setting up.:001_smile: I'm not stating this well, but the time involved just doesn't seem like it will be worth it. Occasionally, yes. So, is KTM different? Or should I just forget it?
SorrelZG
It's not really a game book. It does suggest games now and then. There may be a game section. It starts from the beginning of understanding what numbers and quantity are and builds from there (I'm guessing you'd be more interested in Books 2 and 3, though, and I only have 1 and 2 in front of me) with instructions and various suggestions for teaching concepts including what sections should already be mastered and which could be taught simultaneously. So is this information easy to find & use? Like in a nice (or even ugly) little chart? Or at least in a consistent place in each section? I'm really thinking about buying KTM soon. SorrelZG
Really bad photo to show example. Note "Needed Steps" up top and "Related Steps" down the bottom. This isn't on every lesson. eta: I chose this page for the example because the section was brief enough to fit on a whole page and shows both "steps" indicators in one photo. Amy Jo
Thank you! Looks like what I want. I have Maximum Math and Beechick's guides, but I want something more appealing that is not ordered by grades.
