serendipitous journey
Go here. A bit down the page you'll see a red header with the title "Read the Common Core State Standards". Immediately below that title there are two sections: * English Language Arts Standards on the left * Mathematics Standards on the right Click on whichever set you want to look at. The maths standards are easy to see by grade level. For English Language Arts, you have to click on each section. There are two major divisions, K-5 and then 6-12. Each of those divisions has an introduction and an "anchor strands" section listed in the bar on the left of the page; and below that, the specific topics. For K-5 these are: * Reading: Literature * Reading: Informational Text * Reading: Foundational Skills * Writing * Speaking and Listening * Language If you click on any of those titles, a drop-down menu opens up with items: -- Introduction -- Kindergarten -- Grade 1 .. and so on until Grade 5. This is where the grade-specific language standards are nestled. Ditto for 6-12, but with different specific topics. HTH!
