raw honey question - refrigeration necessary?

Recommended Posts

I bought a jar of organic raw honey for a muffin recipe. So, the muffins are now in the oven - do I need to refrigerate the remaining honey or is it okay to store it at room temperature? I can't seem to find any indication on the jar. I have always stored my "regular" honey in the pantry.

TIA!

You can store it at room temp. Honey doesn't spoil unless it has something else in it. Even if you put water in it that can make it spoil but pure honey doesn't.
