kfeusse
I followed a recipe for making ham and potaotes in the crockpot...and cover them with a cheesy, white sauce. the recipe called for garllic salt, reg salt and onion salt. I followed the measurements it called for...but it is way too salty. How can I fix it so it will be edible? I thought of adding sour cream...would that tone down the salt some...or whatelse would you try??

Usually you throw a potato in a salty pot to absorb some of the salt, but seeing that your dish IS potatoes, I don't know what else you can do except to thin the sauce down until it is palatable. kfeusse
sugar? really? I don't have the tomoatoes and my kids wouldn't eat anything too hot and spicy anyway. It actually doesn't taste as bad as it first did... what about sour cream....will that do ANYTHING at all...good that is??
