Chrysalis Academy Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 If I recall correctly, it seemed really long, and kinda dull compared to more recent productions styles - I loved reading the play, but something about these older dramatic reenactments I do not love. So I don't know if your 11 yo will enjoy it . . . but content wise, if she can handle the content of the play (Hecuba's grandson being taken away to be killed, her daughter dying, basically death and misery for all characters involved) then there isn't anything in the movie version that will be objectionable - it isn't graphic in any way.
