Guest MomInBlack
I love the method; the way it way it is predictable and very simple with lots of practice and checking...but I hate the way it looks. Is there anything out there that is just like HWOT, but looks less...strange? Also, I'm thinking about K level basic printing, not cursive. pitterpatter
Aside from the ugly number 2, my DD's handwriting doesn't really look like the HWOT font. As the months go by, her curves become more refined. We no longer use the HWOT curriculum, so she's not looking at the font every day. She does still use their methods, though. boscopup
I used it long enough to get manuscript letter formation taught, then used copywork (using hwt font) until we no longer needed a model. My son's handwriting does not look like the font. It's actually pretty nice looking. :)
SevenDaisies
Agree with the other posters. My 3rd grade dd's writing looks nothing like HWOT, and the program is great.
Guest MomInBlack
Thanks everyone, I guess I'll give HWOT a try!
blondeviolin
We've never used their curriculum, but we do use their sayings to guide in proper letter formation. You can find that here.
