Lots of boys
My 6 yr old is doing pretty good with reading. We are on lesson 115 in OPGTR and he isn't having any trouble (well - anymore !!). Last year we started OPGTR and it moved to fast for him so we too a break from it and did AAR level 1. He loved it and we completed it right at the end of the school year for us. Now we are back at school and I am wondering if I should slurge and buy AAR 2 for him or just keep using OPGTR (which he seems to be doing well with now that we are back to it) and start with AAS which we already have (for my older son). raceNzanesmom
I think it depends on your preferred style. If you're happy with OPG then go with it and start AAS 1 (if he finished AAR 1 or is reading at that level). If you prefer the style of AAR then you could get 2 and still start AAS 1. Lots of boys
I liked AAR but admit that I don't really want to spend the money on level 2 if AAS combined with the rest of OPGTR will work fine. I am wondering if AAS will be too much of a jump for him combined with OPG now. I just wish AAR wasn't so expensive.
