kfeusse
my kids (ages 8, 10 and 12) are going to entertain at a nursing home on Columbus Day. They are going to play their musical instruments that they know how to play (piano and accordion) and sing a couple songs. I also thought it would be nice if they could recite (together) a poem or two, but I am not sure what poem(s) I should choose. Does anybody have any thoughts that all 3 kids could learn by then. Doesn't have to be Columbus Day related at all. Can be anything. thanks.
Liz CA
Autumn Fires In the other gardens and all up the vale, from the autumn bonfires see the smoke trail Pleasant summer over and all the summer flowers, the red fire blazes the gray smoke towers Sing a song of seasons! Something bright in all. Flowers in the summer Fires in the fall. Robert Louis Stevenson "A Child's Garden of Verses."

lil' maids in a row
I love the poem "Trees" by Joyce Kilner. Quick and easy. "The Creation" by Cecil Francis Alexander is also nice and recognizable.
