If you have read this would you give me your opinion on something? Do you think you would give this to a high school senior to read as part of building an understanding about scientific advances and the ethics that go alongside.

 

Or is it just too dark?

I think it's very good for that topic. The only caution I have is the very nonchalant attitude towards sex, however, that is part culture and could also be seen as a result of the scientific advances, as well! Just be aware that there are 4-5 mentions of sexual activity, without much detail, if that's something you wanted to know. :)

Oh, I am not concerned with it. She is mature and her head is on straight and the attitude does have everything to do with the way they are brought up.

Thanks for the feedback. I found the book so disturbing and yet so thought provoking. I want to be careful with the literature I assign her, but I know that it would be better if she grappled with some dark stuff while still here with me.
