TravelingChris Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I really like Life of Fred. Both girls are doing so much better in math. However, for my sixth grader, I would like to get some type of drill or workbook to make sure she doesn't forget things that she is not studying right now. I don't want a whole curriculum but just an additional product to supplement. My local school supply store closed down unexpectedly and now I have to buy online somewhere. Quote
bettyandbob Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I think the author consider Fractions and Decimals and Percents a prealgebra program. I didn't understand: do you want LOF to be your supplement or do you want a supplement to LOF. I used LOF Fractions as a supplement to Horizons 6 last year. dd will continue using LOF as a supplement next year, just planning on Decimals and Percents . Her main program will be Videotext. If you are using LOF as your main text and are looking of a supplement of general grade 6 material how about one of the Spectrum workbooks. I haven't used them, but I know some people have. Quote
TravelingChris Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 My youngest is doing Fractions right now and is probably almost half done. She likes Life of Fred. All I want to do is supplement Life of Fred. I will soon be buying decimals, percents book and the next book for the older one as well. What Spectrum book are you recommending since I can't go to the educational store and look around? Quote
