caroljenn
I have a 15 yr old daughter who has been homeschooled on and off for three years due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She is now going to be permanently schooled at home, and I am trying to make sure that she doesn't have any holes in her math learning and will do well on the SAT. She wants to be an aeronautical engineer, so a good math score is important. I am thinking about doing ALEKS SAT math prep for her alongside her Algebra 2 to make sure she is ready. What do you think? She has been "teaching" herself math since pre-algebra mainly because she understands most concepts when she reads the examples. I am not a math person, and she is (to a degree) so when I try to explain things to her she usually ends up going to tutor.com for help! She is very good at building things, has an intuitive scientific understanding, but is no Sheldon Cooper either. Do you think ALEKS might be a good fit? Thanks for your help!
