If you are interested I recommend getting the older books on Amazon. You can get the grade level books for btwn $5-$10. Do a forum search, I know there are others who use it and like it. Kathleen.
I use this with my first and third grader. My oldest started with it in first and my youngest began last year in K. This program is great because it teaches the writing process using the six traits. You have to think about what you're writing. It is filled with ideas and ways to write all sorts of stories, poems and so forth. The skills book covers the grammar aspect. We had been using Shurley English prior to WS since it's superior at teaching grammar. I bought the student book and skills book.
