naturally
We want to do photobooks for grandparents for Christmas. I know of Shutterfly but that's it. I need something easy to put together, good quality prints and not outrageously expensive. (Not saying Shutterfly isn't those things. I haven't looked yet. Just want to know my options.) I don't do things online with my pictures. And I don't have a photoshop type program. Any help would help.
tabrizia
I actually really like shutterfly for our yearly photobooks. You can normally get a decent deal a bit closer to the holidays, I normally make ours and spend between 50 and 70% less then the list price thanks to coupons and such that come out around the holidays. They are high quality and last, and they are fairly easy to use and you don't need photo editing software to get a nice book. We normally get the 8x8 hard cover books, they work great and are wonderful gifts for my parents and inlaws.

I make at least two photo books for both sets of Grandparents around Christmas. I know absolutely nothing about photo editing and I've made gorgeous books each year. I highly recommend you go with Shutterfly, I can't imagine you will walk away disappointed.
TheReader
I've used Picaboo 25 times or so. I like it. Ditto this. Love, love, LOVE Picaboo. If you "like" their page on FB you get emails weekly with great discount/coupon codes. The quality is top notch, user friendly, etc.
bookfiend
I made books on Shutterfly for the first time last fall. Loved the process and the many easy design elements. It's very quick to click and drop pictures into a readymade book - or you can spend as much time as you like doing full page edits. One adaptation I am making for future books is leaving some pages and spaces blank for handwritten journal entries and pasting in memoriabilia (like ticket stubs). ETA - you don't need photoshop for Shutterfly. You can do many simple edits right in their program. Some things aren't readily apparent, watch their few little tutorials. I had a friend over for lunch and she showed me some quick tricks in about 15 minutes that saved me hours!
