My mom gave me pounds of lentils yesterday. I have good recipes for many dishes with them (thanks to the monster-sized lentil thread here), but would love a really good recipe for lentil burgers!

and make these changes to it:

 

I cut the recipe in half, add an onion that I slice and caramelize, 1 clove of garlic, I use 1/2 to 3/4 cp of ground oatmeal or instant potato flakes instead of bread crumbs (gluten free), no parm cheese, and instead of the italian spices, I use the season salt I normally use for hamburgers. I used 2 1/2 cups of water for 1/2 recipe on the rice and lentils, and the moisture was perfect! I tried 5 cps for a full recipe, and it was too wet- go figure.
