x-post: Good Thesaurus for an 11 yo?

I have the 4th edition of Roget's International Thesaurus by Robert Chapman. I just read the Amazon reviews of the most recent edition and they were pretty positive. Note this is not an alphabetical thesaurus, but one that's organized by categories of words.

 

I wonder if using these "old-fashioned" thesauri is a lost skill, but I think they are better than "A to Z" synonym lists.
