Cell phone in my pocket and pain

Recommended Posts

Is it weird that when I have my cell phone in my front pocket on the left side of my body I get sharp shooting pains in my left ovary area? I've read stuff about cell phones being a health hazard, but then I read other stuff that says it's very minimal. I don't notice it on my right side so much.

I'm just wondering if there is something to the health claims. :001_huh:

Can the cell phone be pressing on a nerve or irritate an ovarian cyst? (I can't stand to have anything in my front pocket, especially not when my cyst is acting up. For me it's my keys who cause pain, which are definitely not otherwise harmful.)

It is extremely unlikely that it has anything to do with electromagnetic radiation, because this would - if at all- have long term effects and would not cause instant pain while you have the phone there.

I would first experiment and see if the pains occur if you have the phone in your pocket and it is switched off :)

ETA: If you have your cell phone on but are not talking on it (foe example when it is in your pocket), it does not even emit a lot of electromagnetic waves because it does not transmit much data; it just checks in with the tower occasionally. The only concern that is ever discussed is prolonged use talking on it, not carrying it around.

:iagree: I'm sorry you're having pain but it's not likely from the cell phone unless it's pressing on a nerve.
