milovany
Is this route walkable? (See attached photo.) That's I-5 running north/south in the middle. It's the Denny Way part I'm most wondering about (does it go over/under the freeway easily?). The entire route is 3/4 of a mile so I'm not worried about distance. Would appreciate any feedback! milovany
According to google maps, Denny goes under the freeway. I guess I'm wondering if it's an easy/safe walk -- when Denny goes under the freeway, are there sidewalks there and is this a safe part of town in which to walk through tunnels? Or should I just drive the route instead?

ThisIsTheDay
Why don't you use Google street view? http://goo.gl/maps/I8BJO You can see where you'd have to cross the street for a sidewalk at the bridge. I didn't go any further than that.
kalanamak
I walked over that bridge in college a few times. The sidewalk is on the South side. I remember stopping to look at the traffic (I was a hick from the sticks, and it was still sort of exciting to me). I recall a rather debonair man chuckling and saying "don't do it". When I turned to him, he was surprised to see I was a girl (I had a teeny rear and butched hair). I think he thought he was flirting with a cute boy. I remember it all these years later because of the shock on his face. It will be loud and trafficky, but if you don't mind city bustle, you should be fine. Parking can be a big pain, depending on the time and day ...
