Michele B
I am planning out some living geography readings for dd11. She is working on BF's Hollings geography currently. Could someone give me the rough ages that Halliburton's Book of Marvels and Twain's Following the Equator worked best for? I was thinking of starting one in the summer or next fall - if I were to do them both, which sequence would be preferable?
VaKim
My dd read both Book of Marvels and Second Book of Marvels at 12 years old. She loved them both (we got the second one because she loved the first one so much), but she only read them. We didn't do anything else with them. I had actually not even heard of Following the Equator, but I bet my geography-lover would like it too. Hoping someone can tell us something about what age it is best for. momto2Cs
I'm reading The Complete Book of Marvels aloud to a 9 yo and an 11 yo, and they love it! Haven't heard of the other book either, but now I'm off to look it up!
