kwhdman
Learn Our History is offering their "Election Day - Choosing our President" for free (you must pay $3.95 s/h). http://learnourhistory.com/ Has anyone ever watched any of their DVDs? There are some samples on their website, but I wanted to get some opinions if possible.
tammyw
Looks interesting but I'd love opinions first as well.
bpskowski
When you order you have to agree to their conditions. You will be agreeing to have a dvd sent monthly to you, unless you specifically cancel each months selection or call up to cancel subscription. kwhdman
I don't mind that. We are not studying American history this year, so I would just cancel it before the next DVD came in. But I am interested in the Presidential election DVD if their DVDs are any good...
wormbuy
We tried them out with a convention deal, 3 DVDs for $5. The animation is not good at all, it did not bother my kids ( 7 and 5) but DH and I found it very distracting. The stories are good, the idea is good, the information is good, the deal was good, but we decided to cancel, because we could not see paying the full price ($15.95 I think) for the quality and we got the topics that worked best for a younger age group. They say you can skip a delivery if you call before a certain date. I did this and they sent me the DVD anyway (and charged me). I did not return it or call them about it since we decided to cancel. So I can't really remark about customer service, really.
kwhdman
The animation quality was my concern. On the samples I saw, it seemed like the mouth wasn't always moving when speaking, but I didn't know if it was my computer having streaming problems or the animation itself. campmom
We are on the monthly plan, when I watched the first one I did not like it. The information was good, just not the way it was made. But my kids liked it alot and I learned alot so I decided to stick it out for awhile. We have continued to learn alot from each one that we have watched. My kids watch them over and over. I think they are worth a try for the content.
