mylonestar5
I'm trying to find something that will help organize courses; but, I also need to find info on typical h.s. requirements, how to convert non-traditional learning into transcript form, etc. Suggestions anyone? ~Paula
Chris in VA
Not software, but I use the template from Covenant College. Go to the colleges you are looking at for their requirements. You can tailor your transcript to the college, too-- For example, one of ds' choices requires Am. History. Since we cover it in an "odd" way (4 year rotation of World History), I called our 20th Cent course Am History in Context. Typically, a strong high school college prep track would include 4 English 4 Math 4 science, including 2 labs 4 Foreign Lang 2 World Hist 1 Am or State History 1 Gov't, sometimes combined with Economics Various electives One of our college choices requires 3 Math (Algebra, Geom, Trig/PreCalc or above) 4 English 3 Foreign lang of the same lang, or 2 and 2 3 Sciences, w/ 2 labs 2 World Hist 1 Fine Art It can change. You have to know what you want.
