Never take best bud or older brothers along when you want your 8 year old to pick out new sneakers:glare::w00t::willy_nilly: Big brother likes ugly shoes that are in and friend just picks the priceyest things ont he shelf. It was buy one pair get other 1/2 off so I got a good buy but a huge headache. Then checking out ds and friend started playing around and big brother forgot he was keeping an eye on my 2 year old. Hmm 15 years of mom experience and I still haven't learned. My bad.

Oh believe me, we learned that when we went shopping for dss shoes! They were HORRIBLE!!! I told ds that he will NEVER go shopping for shoes with dss, maybe for clothes, but not shoes!:001_huh:

I measure their feet and take me, myself, and I to the store! I figure I can always bring them back if I need to. If I don't know the size, I've been known to get two different sizes. I'd rather try them on my children at home, and I generally know their taste. I just avoid taking children to the store altogether if I can.
