Luanne
She was one of three frogs we have had for 6 or 7 years now. She still has Jack (male) and I still have Bailey (female). It is funny how you can get attached to a slimy creature that floats in water all day.
Dmmetler
:( We have five tadpoles that have turned into frogs, and I know exactly what you mean. It's surprising how much personality a slimy lump that eats bugs can have!
Catwoman
:crying: I'm sorry about your frog.
fraidycat
:grouphug: Sorry about your frog. A pet is a pet, no matter how small (or slimy).
missmoe
I'm sorry. We have frogs--Louis and Lilly. I understand how one could miss them.
Jennifer3141
I'm sorry for your loss. Red eyed tree frogs are a dream pet for my DS. I've been kicking around the idea of them for a big surprise. I think most reptiles and amphibians have interesting natures and/or personalities. We have a ton of garter snakes around here. I will pick them up and show them to the kids if I see one. I have had a garter snake outright attack me (a baby so it was mostly cute - it was so little it's fangs couldn't break my skin!). And then a few weeks ago, I found one and was sitting outside watching it and the darn thing slithered up to me and crawled around on my legs and then stopped and STARED at me. My daughter found me and said, "Mom!! Are you a Slytherin?!?!" That still makes me chuckle, weeks later. :D
