FaithManor
The twins both weigh over four pounds. M - the one born at 28 weeks is learning to take a bottle of breastmilk...he's still way to weak in sucking ability to nurse...and breathes completely on his own. He had his first bath by mom and dad the other day. D is gaining weight, but he's also retaining water and had to be put on a small dose of Lasix (sp?). He's still on a C-pap and may have to go back on steroids because his lungs seem to be maturing some what slower than would be expected. They are gestationally around 36 weeks now. M is just doing really, really well. D still needs prayer. He still can't handle much stimulation and so even though he's been on the "outside" for two months, they can still only rarely hold him. That's pretty discouraging to both mum and dad and especially now that they can handle M so much. But, there isn't any indication that they are in danger of losing D so that's a wonderful blessing. Thank you everyone! Faith
SunnyDays
It sounds like they're doing really well considering the circumstances. How wonderful that M has come so far!! Sounds like D is expected to continue improving as well. Thanks for the update!! :grouphug:
