astrid
I'm working in the field today and have to go by a Whole Foods on my way home. I've got a list of things to buy, and want to try to pick up a few things for Molly to try on her sudden acne. I've got zinc on the list, but any other recommendations? astrid
Guest TheNorthWind
I just signed up so this is my first reply! I've never done this before. Pretty fun. :) May I suggest a couple of items? Vitamins A and D. And wash with a clay cleanser or gel cleanser.

whitestavern
No first hand experience, but I've heard (I think on these boards) that apple cider vinegar works well.
Susan in TN
Not to put on the skin, but eating good quality saurkraut might help with overall nutrition - Bubbies in the produce section is about the best quality you'll find in a store. Okay, so I am just putting this together, but I guess sauerkraut is a cultured veggie? I just had a discussion with a new friend about the benefits of cultured vegetables and I never thought about sauerkraut!
Susan in TN
Yes, if it's a good non-pasturized kind. I believe Bubbies is pasturized at a very low temp for packaging/shipping purposes but according to their website, retains 90% of the enzymes, etc. I also recently read that saurkraut is a good source of vit. K2.

Oh lordy--- I'd have a better chance of getting her to eat the reusable Whole Foods plastic bags than saurkraut! :glare: There are lengths that she won't go to for clear skin, and I'd bet this is one of them. (dh would love it though-- so I"ll pick some up!) astrid
astrid
Ooh I've got tea tree oil-- use it for tons of stuff with the dogs. Never thought about it for the face. Full strength? astrid
astrid
No first hand experience, but I've heard (I think on these boards) that apple cider vinegar works well. I remembered that Sunday night and Molly has swabbed with a mixture of ACV and witch hazel for two nights in a row, and I think it's made a difference! astrid
