shanvan
It cannot actually be possible that the extracurriculars are actually scheduled in a way that is less stressful and more relaxed. Surely I must have read something wrong? I looked at the dog classes, ice skating and sewing dates and nothing is conflicting, nothing scheduled back to back. We have quite a few nights off, and Ds's dog class is directly following Dd's. Can it be true? I know, once I find out the piano time that will probably screw things up! Oh! And I forgot to mention how amazing it is that people seem to have their act together this year and have schedules for fall up sooo much earlier than last year:hurray: I remember last year not even being able to make a weekly schedule b/c I was waiting for all the extracurricular people to pull it together and put out schedules. Hmmm......it's ocurring tome that maybe I'm the late one this year. How do your fall extras look so far? Better? Worse?
GoVanGogh
I am hopeful that our fall schedule is better and less stressful. :D We will be home to, hopefully, have full days of school three days a week. One day a week will be play - golf lessons in morning, followed by homeschool park day in the afternoon. One day will be interesting... DS is taking a class ~45 minutes away. I am hoping to start school (reading) at home, then do audio work in car (memory and/or French), then stop by a coffee shop to get in math and other book work, then on to the class... I am worried about traffic and don't want to leave only 45 minutes to get there, so think I will plan on going over very early so we can school there. Since we are doing that class, I have had to consolidate and drop some outside activities from our schedule. The wildcard in our fall schedule: Family that may or may not come to visit. When? For how long? Why? That could totally make a mess of my schedule. :tongue_smilie:

Samiam
Oh my gosh, so much better for us!! Oldest DS is in school, so he does his extracurriculars there. Which means instead a hour drive each way, and a two hour practice, to the only homeschool football team near us, every night, he goes to football right after school. Thats huge for us. We are not doing Co-op which killed a whole Friday for us. We do Art and P.e. both on Tuesday but I am still able to get work done in between, and one-on-one while each boy takes their turn in Art, so while it is a busy day, it's still possible to get work accomplished. I feel we have plenty of time for field trips and park days. Life feels well-rounded but not crazy hectic. Loving it!!

It was a totally draining experience. The only thing we got out of it was drama---and I'm not talking about a class!
